7 Toys that are ALMOST as fun as Ipads.

We often use Ipads as the go-to toy at restaurants, waiting rooms, and car rides. Mostly because Ipads guarantee to keep kids sitting quietly and focused for long periods of time. But, what if I told you that you can get the same result (well almost the same) with other toys? Check out this list of toys that I put together that will likely keep your kids quiet and focused without extra screen time. You can click on the pictures to learn more about each toy.

Creating pictures with Sticky Mosaics is a great quiet time toy that kids love. It also promote fine motor skills, visual scanning, number recognition, and sustained attention. Love that there are so many different pictures to choose from.

Plus Plus is a cool new construction toy that comes with small interlocking puzzle pieces that can be used to create endless designs. I've seen kids play with this toy for hours.

This jumbo Free Form Magnatab encourages kids to use their imaginations by creating their own pictures. Drawing with the magnetic stylus also reinforces fine motor skills and coordination.

This game is an absolute classic that your kids should def try. You play by using the picture cards to set up the cars as shown, and then try to get the ice cream truck out of traffic without turning the other cars. Rush Hour promotes problem-solving, visual perception, and attention. Also guaranteed to bring in some quiet time fun.

I've always loved hidden picture books, and this is a great one. Hidden pictures encourage kids to focus, process visual information, and recognize shapes in different forms.

Kanoodle Jr. is a fantastic logic and visual perception game. It is guaranteed to keep kids thinking and problem-solving while having fun.

I absolutely love this craft book by Kumon. It comes with many cool projects that kids can easily make, simply by cutting, folding, and pasting.
